Founder accountability
The standards, reputation and client outcome belong to the people running the business.
Northumberland-born · Founder-led
Knect IT grew from a straightforward idea: useful technical expertise should come with personal accountability, honest explanations and somebody prepared to own the next step.
Knect was founded in Northumberland and remains led from here. The business has grown by solving practical problems for local people and organisations, then carrying that same direct approach into more complex IT, telecoms, hosting and infrastructure work.
That origin matters. It means reputation is personal, decisions stay close to the work and clients are not passed through layers of account management before reaching somebody technical.
Northumberland is home, but the work is not limited by geography. Knect supports organisations across the UK while continuing to provide hands-on help for homes and businesses across the North East.
Meet the founder
Christopher Watson founded Knect IT in 2017. The business was built in Northumberland around a straightforward expectation: technical work should come with a clear route to the person responsible for it.
Knect’s founder-led model keeps service decisions close to delivery and gives clients a visible point of accountability for the business behind the support.

What that means in practice
The standards, reputation and client outcome belong to the people running the business.
Local knowledge and direct communication, backed by the ability to support clients UK-wide.
Plain explanations, visible responsibilities and recommendations tied to real business impact.
The trust test
Knect may be trusted with systems, data, networks and commercially sensitive information. The website now explains the governance principles behind that responsibility, while detailed contractual and security requirements are agreed for each service.
